A new face for a timeless name.
For one of Greece’s most respected charcuterie brands, we redefined tradition through simplicity. The new identity for Batanian speaks softly but clearly—honoring legacy with a humble, human touch. With a logomark inspired by the traditional artisan behind the flavor, and typography grounded in clarity, the result is a visual language that feels both handcrafted and enduring.
Our goal was to refresh the visual DNA of a century-old family business without losing its soul. We wanted every element—logo, type, layout—to feel like an honest evolution, not a revolution. The result is a brand that balances familiarity with freshness, giving long-time customers a reason to feel proud, and new audiences a reason to trust it from first glance.
The visual identity of Batanian is deeply connected to touch. The use of natural, uncoated paper with a subtle craft texture was a conscious choice, echoing the honesty of handmade tradition and the purity of the product within.
This tactile approach reinforces the brand’s values: transparency, simplicity, and timeless care. The texture becomes part of the storytelling—reminding consumers that behind every pack is a family, a recipe, and a legacy crafted with purpose.
Minimal yet characterful, the packaging design lets the product take center stage—while the brand’s story quietly unfolds in every detail. From the tactile paper texture to the chef illustration acting as a window into the product, every aspect was carefully crafted to evoke transparency, care, and respect for the craft. The balance of old-world charm and modern clarity makes the line stand tall on any shelf.
When tradition runs this deep, every detail matters. For Mpatanian, we designed a packaging system that respects the legacy of a family business while speaking the language of today’s shelf. From the tactile quality of the label to the handcrafted illustration that becomes a window into the product, every element is intentional. The design doesn’t compete with the contents—it elevates them.
